Chef Asimakis Chainiotis to launch The Chef’s Table by Asimakis

Published 9 March 2020

Together with restaurateur David Moore, Asimakis Chaniotis is set to launch The Chef’s Table by Asimakis later this month. Located above acclaimed restaurant Pied à Terre on Charlotte Street, where Chainiotis is currently executive chef, the 8-seater space is available for private hire or individual bookings.

With the idea of being a ‘home from home’, Chaniotis will serve a tasting menu inspired both by French cuisine for which Pied à Terre is known, as well as the Greek influences of his own life. Each event can be up to 22 courses – depending on the produce and season – and is priced at £165pp. Guests can expect dishes such as trout mousse with mango, cucumber and caviar or smoked quail with celeriac and winter truffles.

The wine list with a heavy French influence is designed to complement the tasting menu, and diners can opt for a Master’s Sommelier’s wine pairing at £95pp.

To create a ‘home from home’ feel, the interiors from Martin Moore Design feature a vinyl player for guests to select their music for the evening, two large windows overlooking Charlotte Street and a intimate and homely space.

“We’re so excited to be opening The Chef’s Table by Asimakis” says owner David Moore. He adds “It’s an experience like no other that exists in London today. Guests can come and enjoy Asimakis’ truly sensational food but can also enjoy the space, and have it all to themselves if they wish. We wanted the space to feel like you were stepping into a friend’s kitchen, a place where you can have a glass of wine, choose your music and relax, but with the added benefit of a Michelin-starred chef and restaurant team looking after you.”
