PR Manager, Gaucho
As Rare Restaurants approaches its 30-year anniversary, the brand is seeking a skilled public relations manager to lead our in-house press communications for our 21-restaurant estate in the UK, covering both the Gaucho and M brands. We are looking for a bright and engaged PR professional with several years’ agency or brand experience to join our dynamic marketing department to develop media relationships, find press opportunities and leverage our brand story and events across the full media landscape. The role is based in the City of London, at Rare Restaurants’ HQ.
The candidate will have great communication skills, writing ability and contacts, ideally in the hospitality sector. The role would suit someone with broad agency experience, who has the desire to move in-house and focus their talent and expertise on one brand to drive tangible results and growth for one of the UK’s leading hospitality businesses.
Rare Restaurants has plans for steady growth and restaurant openings across the coming months and years. The successful candidate will be a core part of this development team and will be integral in developing the strategy to ensure maximum media engagement and maintain the luxury brand positioning in the eyes of the consumer.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all public relations activity for Rare Restaurants
- Define independent PR strategies for the Gaucho and M brands
- Manage, draft and distribute all press releases in coordination with the Group Marketing Director
- To maintain and develop the Rare brands’ tone of voice both in internal and external comms
- Develop and build journalist contacts through entertaining and brand exposure
- Secure attendance at media, PR events and press trips across the Rare estate
- Coordinate and manage press opportunities and visits to the restaurants and activations
- Build PR strategy and align with brand goals and activations
- Work in tandem with the Social Media Manager to create PR-friendly social moments
- Manage media and influencer lists for events
- Nurture and leverage relationships with existing and potential media partners
- Review and manage PR budget and goals
- Grow and maintain brand awareness
Requirements
- At least four years’ experience in UK-focused media relations and experience within the hospitality industry
- A full, diverse and up-to-date journalistic contact book
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in running PR campaigns from genesis to delivery
- Strong understanding of all media mediums
- Well presented with superb relationship-building skills
- Wide knowledge and interest in current F&B industry trends
- Availability to work evenings and weekends and to travel around the UK as required
- Desire to become a brand guardian of the Rare estate
- Appetite to be fully immersed in a motivated and engaged team
- Ability to work independently and with a group
