The Role

As Supervisor you’ll be a hands-on leader during service, bringing pace, personality, and a sharp eye for quality. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the pub, taking real ownership of guest experience, supporting the team, and maintaining high standards in both food and drink.

This is a key stepping stone role for someone ready to build leadership confidence and grow in a people-first, food-led environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

· Service Leadership: Running shifts with energy and calm, setting the tone for great guest service. You’ll lead from the front, always visible and involved.

· Food Focus: Passionate about food, confident explaining the menu, and working closely with the kitchen to ensure quality and consistency plate after plate.

· Team Support: Acting as a mentor to newer team members, sharing your knowledge, and helping build a happy, capable front of house team.

· Standards & Cleanliness: Keeping FOH areas clean, tidy, and welcoming. Ensuring all team members follow hygiene and safety standards.

· Cellar & Bar Know-How: Confident in beer line cleaning, cellar management and bar maintenance – keeping everything flowing smoothly.

· Ordering & Stock: Supporting stock control and supplier relationships, keeping us well stocked and waste-conscious.

· Drinks Offer: Confident in making and serving cocktails, and knowledgeable about our drinks list.

· Guest Obsession: Spotting details others miss, solving problems quickly, and always putting the guest at the heart of what we do.

What You’ll Bring

· Previous experience supervising shifts in a food pub or busy hospitality environment

· A love of food and drink, with high standards and great taste

· Calm under pressure, with a can-do attitude and a sense of humour

· Natural with guests – confident, warm, and able to build rapport quickly

· Awareness of allergens, licensing, and food safety

· Organised and proactive, not waiting to be asked

· A collaborative mindset – you’re someone who pitches in, not someone who waits on others
