Assistant General Manager, Doghouse Pub Company

We’re looking for an energetic and experienced Assistant Manager to join team at our award-winning pub, known for its fresh, seasonal food, quality drinks list, and a lively calendar of events.

As Assistant Manager, you’ll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and help lead a passionate front-of-house team. You’ll play a key role in delivering great guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring the pub continues to thrive as a busy hub for food, drink and entertainment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Overseeing daily operations across bar, restaurant, and events.
• Supporting, training and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service.
• Driving sales and ensuring smooth delivery of a busy food operation.
• Assisting with stock management, compliance, and financial controls.
• Helping plan and deliver an exciting programme of events.
• Deputising for the General Manager in their absence.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience as a supervisor/assistant manager in a busy hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of both food and drink operations.
• Proven ability to manage busy food service and coordinate between departments.
• A hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and leads by example.
• Organised, reliable, and passionate about fresh food and great hospitality.
• An interest in running bespoke and varied events.
