Perhaps you’ve wandered past this Polish-Mexican ‘Restaurant Wine Vodka Bar’ in Mayfair and wondered about it? Standard reviewer David Ellis obviously had. Established in 1942, it was taken over by a Canadian-Polish proprietor in the mid-1970s, who went on to hire a Mexican chef. The rest is vodka-soaked history.
