Part-Time Host, Wood Restaurant Ltd

WOOD Manchester is a 2 AA Rosette venue in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Working with a small and dedicated team, Chef Patron and Masterchef 2015 Champion Simon Wood leads the way on our innovative and seasonal tasting menu.

We are looking to hire an experienced, part time host. As the first and last face that our guests will see, it is critical that the correct applicant have the charisma and charm to make out guests instantly feel at home when they walk through our door. Organisation and the ability to work under pressure are key, with all guests starting their journey in the lounge area with a great cocktail and complimentary snacks from our kitchen team. During our booking process we collect as much information as possible from our guests and all this information needs to be efficiently communicated to the restaurant team.

Outside of lunch and dinner service hours, the administrative side of the role needs to be completed efficiently and professionally. From answering phone calls, taking reservations and monitoring the emails, to creating reports for the kitchen and management teams on future bookings, the ideal candidate will need to have good computer literacy, and be able to converse with guests in the correct manner about bookings.
