    The Role
    As General Manager, you’ll be the person responsible for making sure it all works, from the atmosphere to the spreadsheets. You’ll lead the team, shape the customer experience, and run the operation with heart and hustle. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on pressure, brings energy to a room, and treats the business like it’s their own.

    The Responsibilities

    Full accountability for venue performance: sales, profitability, customer experience, compliance

    Leading, supporting, and developing a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and succession planning alongside our internal People professionals

    Delivering standout hospitality and standards that make people come back

    Managing service, stock, rotas, payroll, budgets, and day-to-day operations

    Working with Directors on strategy, seasonal planning, and community events

    Owning all aspects of licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene

    Weekly reports on trade and stock

    Sticking to strict % for stock purchase

    Working with our PR team on bookings, promotions and events

    Partnering with suppliers, internal and external to be delivering a best in class offering

    Just being absolutely sound

    Wants (Desirable Skills/Experience):

    Experience managing a high-volume, premium pub or restaurant

    A proven track record of delivering strong commercial results

    Confidence with numbers, systems, and compliance

    Someone who leads from the front, not from the office

    A passion for great drinks, great food, and proper service

    Ability to balance fun and standards, knows when to turn it on, and when to get stuck in
