Sous Chef, Goodbye Horses
Goodbye Horses is a wine bar on a leafy street between Dalston and Islington. It is part of a space divided into a wine bar and a coffee shop with a really nice garden.
The small kitchen follows a sharing plates format, the menu is a creative and fun approach to cooking and uses the best seasonal produce available, with an emphasis on minimising waste where possible, in an approachable and engaging way.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. We’re looking someone who is professional, pragmatic and passionate about serving great food. We need someone with ideas to contribute to the menu and daily running of Goodbye Horses. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years experience in a high level kitchen, and experience managing a team in that environment.
Responsibilities include:
- supervising all stations and delegating tasks
- motivating and training new team members
- assisting with paperwork and admin tasks
- ensuring quality and upholding high standards across all daily tasks
- stock management and ordering proficiency
- being a compassionate leader to the team
