Reservations and Events Manager, Poon's at Somerset House
Role Overview
The Reservations & Events Manager is responsible for overseeing all reservations, private dining, and events at Poon’s, ensuring a smooth, well-organised booking journey and exceptional guest experience. This role plays a key part in maximising revenue through effective reservations management, proactive event sales, and close collaboration with the restaurant’s operational teams, within the unique setting of Somerset House.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, guest-focused, commercially aware, and confident managing both day-to-day reservations and the delivery of bespoke events.
Experience Needed
- Proven experience in a reservations, events, or hospitality management role, ideally within a high-volume or premium restaurant environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple bookings and priorities simultaneously.
- Good commercial awareness, including management and revenue optimisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using reservations and event management systems – especially open table.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and calm manner under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods as required.
