Fair Shot is a social impact cafe in the heart of London. We run events, consult on  inclusion in the workplace and sell our coffee wholesale. We are looking for a marketing manager to bring all of this to life.

The marketing manager is responsible for increasing brand awareness & growing audiences in order to drive revenue and further Fair Shot’s impact. As a result knowledge and expertise in crafting & executing engaging campaigns is critical.

This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to run their own department and be part of a small team making a big impact.  Your ultimate goal will be to bring Fair Shot to a wider audience all while supporting our different departments – cafe, events, fundraising, training and employment programme and DEI consulting – with their marketing needs.

You’ll need an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and a the willingness to get stuck in and execute tasks efficiently.   We are looking for a jack of all trades when it comes to the marketing mix; someone is comfortable to carry out  SEO and social media one week, and create collateral and work on our visual in-cafe marketing the next.

Here are some roles & responsibilities the job will require:

Supporting social enterprise model

Fair Shot is a charity. Therefore people need to know why we do what we do, and what impact we make.

  • Taking an impact driven approach to engage a variety of audiences through successful multi-channel marketing campaigns, and to promote the variety of our purpose-led products to enhance the sustainability of the charity.
  • Partner with internal teams (café operations, employment programme, partnerships) to align messaging and priorities.
  • Contribute marketing expertise to organisation-wide planning and decision-making.
  • Being one of the leading voices in our new impact product – Inclusive Coffee, support relevant teams in generating leads to identify market opportunities and create promotion plans to expand our reach while building an industry presence.
  • Design and implement marketing activities to increase customer traffic and loyalty at the FairShot café.
  • Coordinate seasonal and promotional campaigns (events, holidays, impact products) to drive transactions and brand buzz.

 

Brand management

  • You will be a guardian of the Fair Shot brand. Owning our website and all social media channels, in collaboration with the marketing and communication assistant to ensure optimised functionality, performance and user experience.
  • Working to create and execute a content strategy that drives traffic, leads, and engagement for Fair Shot.
  • Act as a brand guardian across all touch-points, maintaining a consistent and inclusive tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Build our brand in the neurodiversity and social impact sectors through creative, strategic marketing.
  • Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, email, print, PR) with clear objectives, timelines and ROI
  • Identify and act on market opportunities, trends, and insights to elevate Fair Shot’s visibility and social enterprise revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising team to create campaign assets, digital comms, and pitch materials for donors and commercial partners.
  • Contribute to building corporate partnerships by supplying tailored marketing materials and showcasing impact stories.

Data & Insights

  • Use data insights to inform and refine audience segmentation, improve targeting strategies, and increase overall marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage agreed monthly budget and optimise marketing effort, while feedback to senior management on where the next opportunities are.
  • Work with Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to set and execute annual marketing strategy, to be reviewed and improved on an ongoing basis.
  • Leading on ROI reporting on large scale campaigns to smaller scale marketing activities across all channels, provide insights and plans of actions to build a continuous learning path for the charity.

Digital content

  • Own website management (Squarespace), ensuring up-to-date, engaging, and optimised content.
  • Lead Fair Shot’s social media presence across all channels with support from a Marketing Assistant 1 day per week, developing content plans that engage and grow our audiences.
  • Develop strong visual and written assets (Canva templates, comms packs, digital brochures, etc.)
  • Track and analyse marketing data to evaluate effectiveness, providing actionable insights for optimisation.

Experience

  • 4+ years experience in marketing
  • Strong experience working in a similar role with a very good understanding ofmarketing and brand.
  • Understand partnership funnel and concept of CRM
  • Experience using marketing driven CRM tools (desirably Hubspot)
    Strong analytical skills, able to manipulate and analyse data across a variety of media to optimise integration performance and engagement
  • Working with people with learning disabilities (desired)
  • Proven track record in creating and implementing innovative marketing strategies and digital social media.
  • Excellent analytical, proactive problem solving

Skills

  • Strong digital marketing knowledge and experience including SEO, content creation, social media marketing and website management
  • Data driven – someone who uses insights to enhance and improve marketing tactics
  • Someone who ENJOYS creating content
  • Filming and photography experience
  • Can-do attitude, demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, consistent focus andbeing proactive;
  • Comfortable in front of the camera and enthusiastic to share our journey and mission
  • Self-sufficient – comfortable to run multiple projects simultaneously and take ownership for execution
  • Used to thinking outside the box – quick decisions and a start-up’s resources mean getting creative is key
  • Marketing obsessed – excited to test new ideas and go against the grain
  • Team player – we are a small collaborative team that is keen to share ideas
