PR Account Manager, Lotus

Due to sustained growth, Lotus are actively seeking an PR Account Manager to join our F&B team, specialising in comms, marketing and social media management for some of the world’s most exciting chefs, restaurants, brands and events.

The right candidate must have a genuine passion for top-tier produce, dining, destinations and the creativity of the chefs involved. Our clients are fun, but demanding and you will work hand in hand with the team directing their brands on a daily basis, through dedicated communications strategies via traditional and digital media. An understanding of paid, owned and earned media strategies on social media would also be a bonus in working with our digital team.

You must be driven, diplomatic, organised and creative with strong interpersonal skills that would include the ability to read a room, demonstrate credibility in trust and counsel with the patience of a saint and be prepared and available to travel.

Have a minimum of 2 years experience within the PR industry with a background in food, lifestyle, consumer/product or travel. 

Essential requirements of this role are:

• Pre-existing contacts in key publications and titles in food and/or luxury lifestyle

• Restaurant opening experience

• Ability to network, meet new contacts and develop and maintain existing relationships.

• Good teamwork, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Strong copywriting skills 

• Exceptional communication skills in order to work with a wide range of contacts at all levels.

• knowledge and understanding of the food and hospitality industry. 

• Self-confidence, drive, competence and a willingness to learn.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.

• Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope under pressure.

• The ability to think strategically, plan and execute successful PR campaigns.

• The capacity to prioritise tasks and projects effectively.

 

Responsibilities

As a PR Account Manager, you’ll need to:

• Work as part of a team where you’ll plan, develop and implement communication strategies.

• Build strong relationships and networks with clients, local and global media. 

• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients.

• Research, create and distribute press releases to targeted media.

• Collate and analyse media coverage.

• Manage and update information and engage with users on social media sites.

• Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings.

• Be prepared to travel in Europe and internationally.

 

Workplace policy:

Please note this is a London based role. You will work on-site at our London office in Hammersmith and off-site too.
