Opening in Spring of 2026, Cellar Society will operate the F&B offering within The Club & Bar, The PDR and The Terrace.
We are looking for our Restaurant General Manager to lead the F&B areas and bring warmth, leadership and a genuine passion for food, drink , and hospitality to everything they we do.
The Club and Bar, PDR and Terrace at 40 Duke, sit within their own dedicated wing in the Oxford Street store, serving breakfast and all-day dining, celebrating the best produce available, delivering thoughtful cooking and carefully curated wines. It is a place to linger, connect and return to —where food, drink and hospitality sit at the centre of the experience.
The Role
As Restaurant General Manager, you will be the welcoming face and driving force of the Club. You will lead service with calm confidence, setting the tone on the floor, nurturing your team, and ensuring guests and members feel truly looked after.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will champion the food offering, sharing a passion for the best possible ingredients, seasonality, and quality, whilst leading on service flow, menu delivery and the overall dining guest experience. Alongside Directors, Selfridges teams and the Club Manager, you will help shape a club that feels both polished and personal, operating seamlessly within a larger organisation.
This role requires someone comfortable balancing day-to-day service excellence with wider organisational frameworks, brand alignment and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor the Front of House team, building confidence, pride, and consistency.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to deliver seamless service and a shared commitment to quality.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including service standards, reservations flow, briefings, and reporting.
- Create warm, personal relationships with members and guests, ensuring every visit feels individual and memorable.
- Manage labour, rotas, stock, and semi-direct costs, supporting monthly P&L reviews.
- Work alongside the Selfridges events team to support and deliver events, brand partnerships and member experiences within the club.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, Health & Safety, and compliance at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Selfridges’ team, understanding their operational structures, brand standards and objectives.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams and smooth operations.

- A warm, hands-on leader with experience in thoughtful, service-led restaurants or similar hospitality-led environments.
- Passionate about great food, exceptional ingredients, and a considered wine and drinks offering.
- A service-focused manager with a genuine love of guest interaction and the small details that make hospitality special.
- A natural host who enjoys being present on the floor and leading by example.
- Someone who enjoys developing people, encouraging collaboration, and building a positive team culture.
- Organised and commercially aware, able to balance an outstanding guest experience with strong financial performance.
