We are seeking a skilled & passionate Chef de Partie to join Whole Beast. A live fire, nose to tail concept in permanent residence at The Montpelier, Peckham.
Job Description:
Controlling your section, preparing the dishes during the day and cooking during service times
Carrying out the vision of the head chef and improving your methods based on feedback
Collaborating with the rest of the team to ensure high-quality food and service
Keeping your area of the kitchen safe and clean
Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required
Person specification:
Minimum two years of relevant work experience, preferably working in a similar role
Food Safety Certificate level 2 minimum
Sound knowledge of the standards of different cooking techniques and best practices for food safety
Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Organizational and time management skills
Creativity, initiative and proactivity
Passion for hospitality
Interest in Nose to Tail & Live Fire Cooking
45 hours per week
Hourly rate is £14.50
28 days paid holidays (holiday dates are fixed)
