Marketing Manager, No.1 By GuestHouse York
GuestHouse is a family-owned boutique hotel group developing, designing, and running what we like to call “happy hotels full of wonder.” Put simply, they’re the sort of places our friends and family would like to stay in. And they’re packed with curiosities that reflect the local area. Everything at GuestHouse has been carefully crafted to provide our guests and visitors with an exceptional experience. We go big on the little details. This is reflective in our branding and creative output that we have worked hard to establish as a growing brand in the hospitality sector.
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to deliver the brand and communications strategy at No. 1, York by GuestHouse. About you:
· An experienced marketeer and communications professional, you know marketing tactics, you love brand, you’re fluent in social, and you get a kick out of a campaign well executed.
· A self-starter who can hit the ground running; confident to work independently but equally loves being part of a team and working hard together.
· A skilled communicator with a flair for copy who can confidently write email campaigns with cut through and traction to grow our internal comms channels.
· Someone with a wide-reaching personal network of contacts across the city and beyond, from local small business owners and entrepreneurs to fellow freelancers, community groups and creative partners working in food, fashion, art, wellness, and music – you know who’s who in your local area and want to invite them in.
· You also instinctively know a great brand marriage and who to forge authentic and commercially rooted brand collaborations and partnerships with.
· Adept at building buzz, hype, and excitement, you know how to create a reputation that delivers an uptick in covers and bookings.
· A true passion for all things hospitality – you live for going out whether it’s morning coffee, brunch, lunch, dinner, or cocktails after dark you eat, breathe, and sleep all that York and the surrounding area has to offer.
· Obsessed with content, culture, creative and cool, you’ll have your finger on the pulse, know what the latest trends are and how to tap into and tailor them to our brand.
· You’ll be required to work closely with internal stakeholders at group and at local hotel level so experience in managing multiple projects, people and personalities with professionalism is something you do with ease.
About the role:
· Completing monthly reports and trackers in line with business requirements.
· Writing creative and campaign design briefs and liaising directly with Graphic Design to coordinate all hotel marketing needs across Pearly Cow, The Spa and rooms – from menus through to signage, room offers to brand collateral, you own the project.
· Deliver against commercial targets, working side-by-side with the General Manager and Group Sales & Group Revenue Managers on ideas, offers and packages to achieve these.
· Management of the website and its content – photo shoots, copy and back-end –
liaising with the Marketing Team and associated agencies to continually optimise the user journey ensuring our offering is targeted to sales activities and delivers direct business.
· Ensuring our databases and systems are accurate and up to date.
· Delivering the guest experience at the hotel and ensuring all brand collateral and guest touchpoints are up-to-date.
· Deliver GuestHouse magic and generosity across all campaign initiatives to make our guests feel valued, special, and excited to be staying with GuestHouse.
Values you’ll share:
· Courage to question, evolve and bring a sense of realness to your role.
· Curiosity to seek out innovation, change and creativity.
· A generous spirit who looks to find the best solution.
· Freedom to be yourself at work, just as much as at play.
