He’s carved a reputation for opening some of the best Spanish restaurants in London over the past few years but now Victor Garvey is taking his cooking in a new direction.
The chef restaurateur behind Rambla, who closed the Dean Street site a couple of months ago, has now announced that he’s going to reopen the Catalan restaurant that received glowing reviews from the critics as SO|LA. The menu will take influence from the West Coast of the US and perhaps somewhat unusually in the current trend of how people are dining, there will be a 12-course tasting menu, as well as an à la carte.
The wine list is in safe hands as it’s being compiled by our friend Zeren Wilson, who himself is a big fan of the Burgundian style white wines from that part of the world. California dreamin’.
