Sessions Arts Club to open in 2020

Published 19 December 2019

Sessions Arts club, a new creative studio from painter Jonny Gent together with business partners restaurateur Jon Spiteri and architect Russell Potter, is set to open in March 2020. The project is in collaboration with brothers Ted and Oliver Grebelius of Sätila Studios, who share a passion for creating environments that inspire ideas.

Located in a restored 18th century Grade II former courthouse on Clerkwenwell Green, Sessions Arts Club will bring together art, people, food and wine.

A number of collaborative minds are involved in the project. Chef Alex Vines, previously of 40 Maltby Street, Rochelle Canteen and Sardine, will head up the kitchen, focusing on a close relationship with suppliers. As such, the menu will revolve around seasonal ingredients and working with local farmers and growers.

Events and experiences will play a key role at Sessions Arts Club, with the main space providing an impressive backdrop. Figures from the world of arts, fashion, music, wellness and theatre will host events and exhibitions, showcasing emerging and established artists. The yearly programme will be installed by gallerists David Southard and Darren Flook.
