The Hawk’s Nest launches in Shepherd’s Bush Market

Published 3 September 2020

With White City and Television Centre nearby, the Shepherd’s Bush scene is fast-moving. Now a new outdoor space, The Hawk’s Nest, has opened in the market – run by Wil Fuller of Soho House Group and Frazer Timmerman of Incipio Group, The Hawk’s Nest is the first venue from their new venture Bird House London.

“As locals, we felt that Shepherd’s Bush was really missing the kind of social space that is so popular across east and south London” says Timmerman. “We decided to take matters into our own hands to create the perfect outdoor spot for group bookings and celebrations in an overlooked corner of Shepherd’s Bush Market.”

Housed in a converted railway arch and goods yard, the 120-cover space focuses on Italian street food. Guests can expect arancini, calamari and a pizza oven in a converted shipping container, serving stone baked sourdough pizzas. A cocktail bar will serve fresh fruit margaritas, a seasonal wine list and craft beers from Camden Town Brewery.

With the space open throughout the year (covered and heated during autumn and winter), there will be artwork exhibitions throughout the year, alongside a weekly events programme with jazz and DJ nights.
