The National Restaurant Awards returns with a charity auction

Published 19 August 2020

The industry missed this year’s annual National Restaurant Awards, renowned for its top 100 restaurant list topped by Moor Hall in 2019. However, the organisers have now joined forces with the UK’s top chefs and restaurateurs to launch the Top 100 Auction.

Restaurants and chefs from the top 100 list past and present have collated an impressive selection of prizes. There’s a weekend trip to Barcelona with a meal at El Cellar de Can Roca, a cooking masterclass a Core by Clare Smyth, a meal at Dinner by Heston complete with stay in a suite in the Mandarin Oriental and even the chance to go foraging and dine with Tommy Banks. A chauffeur driven evening dining at some of the top Corbin & King restaurants sounds very interesting, too.

Partnering with Hospitality Action, the funds raised will provide essential support for hospitality workers and those whose livelihoods are at risk of disappearing due to the pandemic.

“We welcome the Top 100 Auction initiative in bringing together some of the country’s best restaurants and chefs to raise funds for our Hospitality Recovery Fund” comments Hospitality Action. “We’re ready to harness all our expertise to provide ongoing assistance to the people at the sharp end of the pandemic, thanks to our Hospitality Recovery Fund and initiatives such as the Top 100 Auction that help support it.”

The auction will go live on 24 August via the website here.
