There’s something very specific and hard to replicate about the type of chips you get on holiday and somehow, Casa do Frango have cracked such a good recreation, you needn’t buy a plane ticket to the Algarve for your batatas fritas. As great as they are, the star of the show here is of course the piri-piri chicken. Grilled over wood charcoal and brushed three times with their piri-piri blend, it’s consistently crisp-skinned and full of juicy flavour. The sides are no afterthought either.

The Space

This is the second site after the London Bridge original. And whilst there’s a more modern feel than the converted brick warehouse, the dining room upstairs is filled with natural light and buzzing from the activity of the open kitchen. Downstairs there’s the Bar da Casa and a their own bakery which cranks out some of the best ‘natas in London. So don’t skimp on desert.
