counter 71 is a chefs table restaurant with exceptional produce and guest experience at the forefront. We work with suppliers from across the British Isles who are adopting bio-dynamic and organic practises, farmers who are rearing rare breed meats and fisherman from up and down the British coasts. We focus on taking produce at its very best and presenting it in creative ways. The guest experience sits at the centre of what we do and why we do it.
Job responsibilities include:
– Preparing and executing a section before and during service
-Directing the food preparation process, delegating tasks and maintaining high standards
-Supervising all kitchen stations in regards to food preparation, cleanliness and organisation
-Being responsible for health & safety and food hygiene practises, making sure the kitchen meets food hygiene standards
-Expected to have some days running the kitchen unsupervised
Job Requirements:
-Excellent leadership skills, providing motivation for the team around you
-A high level of attention to detail
-Knowledge of safe food hygiene practises and general health and safety
– Michelin experience preferred but the correct attitude and personality is more important
-Must have a positive and approachable manner
The ideal canidate will have the right attitude and mentality to working in a kitchen with no ego’s or aggression. Ideally someone who already has management experience but equally if the personality fits the role then training will be provided.
