Sous Chef, Mambow
We are looking for a passionate sous chef to join our kitchen team at our restaurant in Clapton.
Mambow is a modern Malaysian restaurant based on Lower Clapton Road. We have a concise menu that we change every 6 weeks. We would love someone who is driven, forward-thinking and an experienced sous chef, to contribute towards our menu and to the direction and leadership of our small team. They will contribute significantly to the growth of Mambow, working closely alongside the head chef in the production and service of our 40 seat restaurant space.
Job role:
Kitchen management
– Lead and manage the kitchen team. We thrive off of a culture of kindness and support to get the best out of everyone we work with.
– Contribute towards the kitchen operations, maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen. Adhering to the necessary safety standards
– Help towards developing new standards and systems to improve the kitchens productivity
Menu development
– Working alongside restaurant owners to develop exciting new recipes
– Using seasonal ingredients and incorporating them into traditional recipes from all regions in Malaysia
Events
– Contribute towards all aspects of on site and off site events
– Work on our off site food truck for large private catering events
