Mission Kitchen is looking for a brilliant and experienced Programming & Events Lead to lead on the planning and execution of a dynamic programme of events and activities that connect, educate and inspire entrepreneurs in the food and drink industry.

Mission Kitchen is an incubator for the next generation of talent in London’s food sector. We operate the UK’s only dedicated co-working space for food and drink start-ups. We deliver a year-round programme of events and opportunities to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses and increase their impact.

You will be responsible for curating and delivering all elements of this programme. This is an exciting opportunity to build on a strong existing foundation, with the freedom to develop it with your own ideas. We are looking for a creative, confident and organised individual, with great communication skills, a smart curatorial eye and strong event planning and management experience.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover position, starting immediately with a contract until July 2025. However, we hope to find a candidate with whom a long-term relationship can be built and opportunities for continued employment can be explored.

This is a part-time role: 3-4 days per week. The role will require regular onsite work at our site at Nine Elms, Central London, however hybrid working is supported.

Salary Range: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum, pro rata depending on the number of days per week.

    What will you be doing?

    Programme Design & Development

    • Designing and planning a cohesive annual programme of events and activities
    • Researching event subjects, themes, expert contributors and guest speakers to deliver industry-best content
    • Conducting member and industry research to inform programme design, content and formats
    • Reviewing event performance, seeking feedback and insight to inform and improve future plans
    • Implementing new event formats and technology solutions to allow online programme participation

    Event Management

    • Planning and coordination of on-site events including venue set-up, catering, staffing and event management
    • Collaborating with the Site Operations team to ensure smooth running of all in-person events
    • Planning and delivering internal communications to ensure high levels of event attendance
    • Collaborating closely with the Marketing team to drive awareness and engagement with events in relevant external audiences
