Sous Chef, Forza Wine @ The NT
We’re looking for an excited, reliable, experienced Sous Chef who wants to join our friendly team putting out weekly changing menus at our beautiful new site The National Theatre.
There is a huge opportunity to grow in our kitchens to senior management and gain experience in all areas of restaurant operation, especially as we expand over the next several years.
We pay a great salary (£30,000 to £32,000 depending on experience) plus an equal share of service charge (additional £10k to £12k). Service charge does not make up part of your salary its all extra.
We also offer 50% off the whole bill for you and your mates, cost price food and wine to take home, free kitchen clogs whenever you need them, a beer after your shift & access to an employee assistance programme offering help in all areas of your life outside work.
We issue our rotas in 4 week blocks with plenty of time to get time off requests in, so you can plan and live your life outside the kitchen!
You’ll be working under a very experienced Head Chef and fellow Sous Chef, with a really passionate group of talented CDP’s to lead.
Job requirements
What you’ll need:
– a desire to work in a happy, collaborative team that looks after each other
– experience across all sections
– several years kitchen experience, 4+ years depending on level of cooking
– experience in high quality, independent restaurants
– a desire to make day-to-day kitchen life a smooth ride
– a passion for the best produce cooked at its peak
– a good understanding or interest in Mediterranean culture
