Studio Paskin is expanding into West London with the opening of The Barbary Notting Hill.

We seek an experienced General Manager to lead on the launch of our most ambitious restaurant project to date and what will become the flagship site of The Barbary brand.

The Position

We are looking for an established hospitality professional with the dynamism and gravitas to inspire, teach and lead a team of 60. As our General Manager, you will possess the natural confidence, warmth and commitment to exceptional levels of service found in established restaurants; paired with a fresh, forward-thinking approach to management, technology and the contemporary London dining scene. You will be a first-class operator with a keen understanding of financials, strong business acumen and how to lead teams to success.

The Candidate

• Previous experience working as a General Manager or an ambitious Assistant General Manager in a high-volume, high-class restaurant environment.
• A confident and vibrant personality who thrives in the buzz of service and can command a dining-room.
• Passionate about detailed hospitality, guest experience and dedicated to exceptionally high standards of service. The ideal candidate will inspire this commitment in others.
• Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business financials, previous evidence of achieved targets and an entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to profitability.
• Highly organised and resourceful. Our General Manager will be thorough, detailed focussed and able to effectively manage large teams and respond strategically.
• Experience of the pace and demands of a new opening is highly desirable.
• A strong background in wine, ideally with a WSET Level 3.

The Restaurant

Featuring a reimagining of the iconic Barbary horseshoe kitchen counter, the 75-cover affair will also include a dining room and dedicated cocktail bar, as we bring the Barbarian experience to the Notting Hill neighbourhood. The menu finds its origins in the beloved elemental cooking of The Barbary, whilst breaking new ground to offer an elevated dining experience.
