    Studio Paskin is expanding into West London with the opening of The Barbary Notting Hill. We seek an experienced Head of Pastry to join the launch of our most ambitious restaurant project to date and what will become the flagship site of The Barbary brand.

    The Position

    We are looking for a creative, experienced Head of Pastry with a broad skillset in both sweet and savoury menu items. You must be excited to work on the creation of a seasonal menu that will innovate the classics in line with the essence and culture of The Barbary. You will be integral to the development of the brunch offering, as well as leading on the development of the iconic Barbarian breads and desserts.

    The Candidate

    • Previous experience working as a Head Pastry Chef or an ambitious Pastry Sous Chef in a high volume, high quality restaurant environment.
    • Skills across sweet pastry and savoury baking. Experience in menu development is essential.
    • Experienced in leading junior pastry teams; both in production and in service with a commitment to exceptionally high standards.
    • Energy, tenacity and enthusiasm. Self-aware, empathetic and able to work with commitment and integrity.
    • Excellent communication and organisation skills – must be thorough & detail focussed.
    • Experience of the pace, demands and constant adjustments of a new opening is highly desirable.

    The Restaurant

    Featuring a reimagining of the iconic Barbary horseshoe kitchen counter, the 75-cover affair will also include a dining room and dedicated cocktail bar, as we bring the Barbarian experience to the Notting Hill neighbourhood. The menu finds its origins in the beloved elemental cooking of The Barbary, whilst breaking new ground to offer an elevated dining experience.
