Goodbye Horses is a wine bar on a leafy street in De Beauvoir Town, London.

Recently awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, we pair a seasonal menu with wines that are fun, living, and as close to zero-zero as possible — nothing added, nothing removed.

Goodbye Horses is offering a full time role for an experienced and enthusiastic AGM to join our team.
As part of our management team, you are an advocate for exceptional service with a strong eye for detail, while playing an instrumental role in the day-to-day operation of the venue.
You will be confident in overseeing the floor, supporting and developing the team, and maintaining a calm, professional presence throughout service.
You will work closely with the General Manager, kitchen, and senior team to uphold high standards across service, people, and operations while ensuring every guest has a memorable experience at Goodbye Horses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the venue
  • Leading and motivating the team throughout service
  • Driving high standards across service, cleanliness, and organisation
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and development of team members
  • Managing shifts, sections, and the flow of service across the floor
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues confidently and professionally
  • Working closely with the kitchen and management team to maintain smooth operations
  • Supporting stock control, labour management, and operational targets
  • Leading by example and helping build a positive team culture

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a management role within a similar fast-paced venue
  • Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for natural wine
  • A casual, warm, yet professional approach to hospitality
  • Confidence working closely alongside a small, high-performing kitchen team
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and motivating teams
  • Experience managing busy services with a calm, proactive approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and high operational standards
  • Comfortable leading a front of house team in a high-volume environment
  • Opening experience is valued but not essential
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
