The Bush Tavern is looking for an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to lead the next chapter of our food offering.

Located in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, we’re a vibrant 90-seat pub with a fantastic team, a fully fitted kitchen, and exciting plans for the future. Since opening, we’ve partnered with a successful kitchen residency, but we’re now bringing food in-house and are looking for the right chef to help shape and deliver our vision. 

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.

The food offer will be centred around honest, ingredient-led dishes done exceptionally well. No fuss, no unnecessary flourishes, just food people genuinely want to eat.

The bar food follows the same philosophy: excellent gildas, properly crisp croquettes, seasonal salads and a rotating selection of snacks and sharing plates designed to be eaten with a pint in hand. Simple, ingredient-driven cooking with personality.

As Head Chef, you’ll have responsibility for running the kitchen and helping us develop a food offering that becomes a destination in its own right.

You’ll work closely with the owners and general manager to create and evolve the menu, recruit and develop your kitchen team, manage food costs and suppliers, and ensure consistently excellent execution. Also taking responsibility for all food and hygiene operations.
